"Free Love"

Today Benton made this cute sign covered in hearts that said "For Frey" (for free). He then place a pile of hearts cut from pick construction paper behind the sign. What a sweet boy...giving away his love. He is such a sweetheart. On a different note, we went swimming for the first time this season yesterday at the Francois'. The kids were super excited. Benton tried out his new snorkel gear. He had fun, but it will take a little getting used to. He remembered to swim pretty well, but has reverted to doggy paddling. Emmie wore her life vest and when she fell off of the floating rocket for the first time she almost had a heart attack yelling frantically "Help, I'm sinking!" She wasn't, and she was fine. Mae on the other hand, had no fear as usual and dove in, swimming everywhere. Towards the end of swimming she wanted out because she was cold so I took off her floaties. She sat on the top step and while our attention was on something else for just a moment, she stepped in silently and was sinking. Adam jumped in and grabbed her, eyes barely above the water. She had not ingested any water, but it was frightening, probably more to her mommy! I am so grateful she is okay, and yet another reminder how important it is to watch those kids in water! Thankful to Heavenly Father that she was safe. Lyndie barely went in the water. She does not like the cold, and is pretty scared of water anyway. She got in a bit when I held her, but not for long. After swimming we had a BBQ with all of my siblings, their families, and my parents. We all played at the park for awhile as well. Those swings are sure a big hit. The kids also had a blast making trains down the slide with Pa and climbing back up the way they came down. Life is good. We are so richly blessed.
