Easter

We went to the annual Easter Egg hunt put on by a local church. It was held in the fields next to the movie theater this year. The kids get to find plastic eggs in a pile of hay and then trade it in for a bag of candy. They love doing this, even though it is a pretty simple hunt.

The all had a painting done. Benton had a snake, Emmie and Mae had butterflies on their cheeks, Lyndie was an Easter bunny.

Their  favorite part were the bounce houses and blow up slide. Lyndie even loved the tall slide, and could climb the ladder herself! They love playing on any inflatables. It was hard to pull Lyndie out when it was time to leave!

Pa and Grandma Cooley came over to visit and helped the kids decorate their eggs. We only had one mishap, a container was spilt all over the floor, but thankfully I don't love our flooring, and it seemed to come out alright!

We made a little egg for Emerson.

Afterwards, we had a hut in the front yard. The kids loved searching for eggs, and then took turns hiding them. Most of the eggs were devoured while sitting out on the grass. They love hard boiled eggs!

That evening we had a lesson about Easter Sunday and the Resurrection of our Savior. I am so grateful for this knowledge and testimony that He lives. I am forever thankful that because of Him we can be an eternal family, and break the bonds of death. I loves these sweet kids, and my handsome husband, and couldn't imagine living without them!
