We decided to have a campout in the backyard. The kids love helping set up. They are very good helpers. Emerson enjoyed getting in the way and climbing on everything. Once the tent was set up they enjoyed running around. We all planned to stay in the tent, but the kids were being nuts, and Emerson would not rest so the two of us slept in our cozy beds in the house. The kids woke up bright and early and woke me up by banging on the window to unlock the door so they could use the bathroom. Not cool. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast together. It is so fun to make these memories together. I know the kids will remember these times together as a family.
