We celebrated Halloween on the 30th this year, since it fell on a Sunday. We spent the morning carving pumpkins. Adam and I did most of the carving and the kids did some of the scooping, Benton was kind of grossed out by it. We dressed up and headed over to the ward Trunk or Treat. We met up with some friends from Emmie's dance class, Isabelle, Lacy, and their mom April. We ate some super good chili and treats, went from trunk to trunk collecting way to much candy, and the kids even caught some air in the bounce house. It was super fun. By the end of the night, faces were covered in sticky candy, pants in dirt from running around and playing, and eyes were red from tiredness. A little crazy, but fun. Benton rocked his Buzz Lightyear outfit, and basically thought he really was Buzz. Emmie loved being a princess and dance around as Cinderella. Mae was forced to be Tinkerbell, and really didn't get to do much because she was stuck in the stroller. She did start walking though about two week ago and she looked so cute toddling around at home with her wings flapping behind her! We celebrated the actual holiday by passing out candy in the front yard for a bit, and we did stop by oneneighbor's house to trick or treat, mostly so we could just say hi. I especially loved seeing the kids dress up and definitely plan on next year having our traditional family theme, yes that means Adam will have to dress up too!!!
