Benton today was laying next to me rubbing my tummy and then said, "I know Jesus is going to send us a baby boy, he already sent us two baby girls. Then we can have two boys and two girls." When I said we won't know until I go to the hospital and we take the baby out he said, "I just know when the baby hatches it will be a boy." Yesterday when we could not find Mae's doll, he recommended saying a prayer to have Heavenly Father help us to find it. We had an FHE lesson on prayer Monday night; they do listen! He had his second to last T-ball game last night and Grandma Cooley, Grandpa and Grandma Francois and Uncle Brigham were all there to watch. He spent the first two innings in the outfield twirling, playing in the dirt, and being fascinated with his hat and glove. The last inning he played pitcher with another boy on the team. Although he had to be reminded before each player hit to pay attention, he did a great job stopping the balls, and after two throws to home he learned to throw it to first base instead. It was so fun to watch. He also did a great job hitting the ball and ran like a train around the bases. Grandpa even got him to transform on the ground, luckily no balls hit him! He is learning his numbers and letters and finally has his colors down. It's hard to believe he will be kindergarten age next school year! He is getting so tall and grew about an inch or more in the past two months. He is all the way back to his skinny self, but still loves to eat. He loves to play with Mae and Emmie. They all run around together, build forts, play house, cars, legos, read books, climb on the bunk beds (which they are not supposed to do), and jump on the trampoline. A few weeks ago I even caughte them with the water turned on and hooked to the sprinkler jumping around, and it was cold outside! They had fun though. His best friend is still Thomas and he loves to pretend to be animals and play "Creature Power" with him, from a PBS show called Wild Kratts, which they are obsessed with. Benton is so loving and sweet, he loves to lay by Adam and I at night while he falls asleep and is constantly giving us hugs and wanting to squeeze our hands. I love to hear his sweet little voice say "hi daddy" when he talks to Adam on the phone. He is such a precious gift from Heavenly Father.
This morning when I went in to get Mae after her nap she was sitting up in her crib hugging her dolly, baby, and Minnie Mouse stuffed toy. She loves to play with dolls. She loves to feed them bottles and push them in her stroller. She loves to pretend to eat play food and help Emmie in their play kitchen. She is still so chubby and it's cute to see her walk around, well waddle around. She loves to put shoes on and eat "shcchhhshhh" (crackers). She is an eater, she can outeat Adam and has on many occasions. She loves to eat ice cream, LOVES. She does not like vegetables and we have a hard time trying to get her to eat them. She is great at giving hugs and has started to hold out her arms and say "this" and then hug us (I love you thiiis much!) Every night she runs to Adam when he comes home yelling "daddy!". She loves to cuddle with her daddy and loves him to hold her. She loves to say prayer and at the mention of the word will fold her arms. She also loves to take baths and brush her teeth. She gets super excited and goes running down the hall when we mention either. She has to brush herself though or she gets mad. She is growing so fast and starts going to nursery in about three weeks! She is another little gift from Heaven.
Emmie is such a little princess. She loves her ballet class and loves to dress up at home and dance around. She loves her princess, putting on her shiny chapstick, playing with purses and wearing her princess clothes. She loves her princess and prince dolls and frequently makes them dance together. She is her daddy's girl and prefers snuggling with him at night before bed. She also runs to him and shouts "daddy" when he comes home with a huge grin on her face. She loves to eat, but HATES to poop and shows me by holding it in. She can keep up with Benton and all of his jumping around, but loves to do girl things. She can't give Mae enough hugs and kisses and I often find her playing with Mae in her crib and keeping her company. She loves to get into mischeif with Benton, and often instigates it. She loves candy and all things sweet and gets into the treats by climbing onto the counter. I have found her digging in the ice cream with her fingers and the freezer pulled open. She is a sweet little girl and I don't know what I'd do without this other precious gift from Heaven!
