Blessings

Tonight I asked Adam to give me a blessing that the c-section and recovery would go well and I wanted the kids to be there with me. We talked about blessings and told the kids daddy was going to give me one, then Emmie said "I want a blessing too". I told her she could have one whenever she wanted to, she just needed to ask daddy. So she did. Then Benton decided he wanted one too. Adam gave Emmie a blessing that she would not be afraid to go poo poo in the potty and that her bummy would feel better. She was very reverent and gave daddy a big hug after. Then he gave Benton a father's blessing that he would love school and make friends and be able to learn all that he needs to. He was very reverent also and was very sweet. Then Mae climbed up on the chair and Adam asked if she wanted a blessing as well. She said yes so he blessed her with health, learning and to know we and her Father in Heaven love her. She folded her arms and sat still the entire time! Then they mostly sat and listened as Adam blessed me to be calm and that all would go well. It was so touching to see the faith of our sweet children and their desire to do what's right and to be close to their Heavenly Father as well as their daddy. It was a perfect experience to prepare me for what will happen tomorrow. Our sweet little baby will be joining our family!
