On Our Way Home

We are on our way home! Emerson now weighs about 7 lbs 13 oz. He is such a doll, yes he does open his eyes, but he is pretty sleepy. We finally were able to leave the hospital after Emerson's trying circumcision (poor boy), at about 4:30 or so. We headed over to pick up the other Cooley kids. They were all out front playing and waiting for us. They even had a cute sign the read "Welcome to our family Emerson!" that they had colored and signed. It was adorable. We ate dinner and headed home at about 6:30. That night was painful, as I had a lapse in pain medication while we tried to get more. Ouch. It's all worth it though when you look at that sweet little face. Feels so good to be home together.
