We spent the last week of May in Carlsbad, CA at the Grand Palisades Resort. We had a blast!! We spent most of our days - and nights - at the pool where our little water babies had the most fun (Benton swam like a fish with his bubbles and "air" suit). Benton loved the ship that sprayed water and the "warm" water or hot tub was a big hit. We also hit the beach and played in the sand, Benton was scared of the water-go figure! We even spent some time at a local Aquarium and hit Legoland for a day. Legoland was fun, unfortunately Benton was like 1/4" too short to ride many rides, but he still had a blast on the few he got go on. He thought the train that went in a circle was awesome so we rode it about three times. It was great to see his reactions to these new experiences. Emmie just had a blast sunbathing and showing off as a bathing beauty. She mostly enjoyed her brother running around like crazy!!! We had such a great time on our first official family trip...Cooley family that is! I'm so glad we had that time to grow closer together as family and look forward to many more trips in the future!

looks like you guys had a blast. i love carlsbad, its really nice there. did benton like the sand? it took landon awhile to get used to the beach but he loves it now! isnt it fun taking family trips?!!
Fun! I've wanted to take my kids to Lego land, I've heard it's really cool. Your kids are so cute!
