Benton celebrated his 3rd Birthday yesterday (the 13th). He is officially past the age where you get into everything for free!! AHHHH! He had a super great day. First, he was able to blow out the candles on his sprinkle pancakes and even got to open a birthday card from Great Grandparent Francois' which he actually opened the night before and slept with! We had his friend party in the morning around 9 am. Thomas, Kimball, and Cooper were able to come and join the celebration. We played on the slip 'n slide and bounced water balloons on the trampoline. The kids didn't really know how to do the slip 'n slide so Adam proceeded to show them by throwing them down the lane like a super hero. The loved it! We had cupcakes and treats and got messy, wet, and had a grand time. Benton loved playing with his buddies. Later that day we had a family party. He revelled in blowing out yet another candle (the 3rd official time unless you count blowing and relighting over and over as more than once). He especially enjoyed opening all of his presents. He was truly blessed and had spent the day today, and late into the night last night, playing and exhibiting all of his new toys. He loves to take us into us room and excliam "ta da" as he proudly shows them off. He especially enjoyed the hour or so mommy spent with him putting his Thomas lego trains together and creating a mini train yard. He is getting so big and I can't believe all of the things he is learning each and every day. He amazes me each time he says something new, or has some original "Benton" idea to share. It's so fun to see him learn and grow into a little boy and I love every minute! He is my little stud.
