We took a trip to Manti with Grandma Francois and Brigham towards the end of June. We headed up there on a Saturday. The ride went pretty smooth, except we had to stop for Benton's puke twice and diarrea once. Oh joy. We spent a week there and the first thing we did was take a fishing trip! Benton loved fishing with his uncle. The lake was beautiful, but a little warm. Benton did not catch a thing, but really enjoyed casting and reeling in (with a little help). He was a little sad I guess because each time her reeled in his line he said, "no fish!" Brig tried his luck on the other side of the lake so the two oldest and I tried to go and see how he was doing. We had to cross a "bridge" over the water that consisted of a bunch of logs and one plank intertwined precariously over the river that left the lake. I picked up the kids and tried to place them over to the next side, although we didn't fall in, we did not stay dry. We trekked up the hill and through the brush to find Brig surround by flies and untangling his line with a frusturated look on his face. We sat for a time and made the soggy trek back to Mae and Grandma. At least we cooled off a bit!
