We went to the zoo with our preschool class, and another preschool co-op from the ward. Kim and Emma, and Jackie and Jude joined us as well. We had soo much fun! The weather was cool and the zoo wasn't too packed. The kids loved seeing the animals, especially the zebras, giraffes, and flamingos. We went into the monkey habitat as well and they thought it was pretty neat to be so close to the monkeys. They loved the carousel of course, except Mae, who cried the entire time. I think she was scared of the fierce looking animals around her. We had a nice picnic lunch together and headed over to the splash pad...by far the favorite activity of the day. Mae was a little nervous, but loved splashing her feet in the water. Emmie and Emma loved to run around together in their matching suits and had a grand time. Benton loved getting soaked with Thomas. They were all over the place and got as wet as they could. Us moms chilled in the shade with Jude. It was so much fun! Benton got a little too excited when it was time to go and flashed the crowd in a hurry to change so he could spend a few minutes on the pirate ship in the sand area. We hiked back to the car and when we finally got home we all crashed for an hour or more. What an adventure!
