California Adventure

Sunday we spent the day at church in an Anaheim Ward. It was a small ward, with half of the congregation visiting to go to Disneyland! The kids enjoyed being combined in their classes and I enjoyed R.S. That afternoon we drove out to the beach, but upon discovering we would have to pay for parking we decided we could not stay. Instead Adam drove up as close as he could and Benton and I leaped from the car. The girls had all fallen asleep as it was getting dark. Benton and I sprinted for the water, put our feet in and admired the view, and then sprinted back. We briefly paused twice to look back at the ocean and then jumped back into the van where Adam had been waiting. Nice way to end a relaxing day. Monday morning we headed to the parks bright and early, got our tickets, and waited in line. We headed straight for the new Carsland racer ride. Benton, Emmie,and I waited in line for about 30 min. The ride was super fun and the kids loved it. Later Adam and Emmie rode again while we waited. We headed to Ariel next so that Mae could ride something. We had to carry her around because of her leg, which made it difficult, but she still enjoyed everything. She was amazed at the Ariel ride. Lyndie enjoyed looking around at everything as well. We went on the carousel, ferris wheel, Swings, Zephyr, and so much more. Everyone had so much fun. It was especially fun to be together and to see the joy on the kids' faces. That is what made everything worth it.
