We love walking in the mornings and exploring to see what has been washed up onto the beach. We found lots of sand dollars, some small crabs, sea weed, and sometimes bits of jelly fish. The kids really love collecting treasures and lining them up along the wall, back at the house. We went up hiking near Seal Beach. We enjoyed seeing the seals basking in the sun! We really loved "barking" at them and listening to their responses. We hiked along the bluff over to a beautiful view of a light house as well. It was fun wading through the tall grass...until later we realized we had been attacked by ticks! Benton had one attach to his belly, I had two crawling on me, but never attached, and Emmie had one on her scalp that we didn't discover until a week later! Brandon got one, as well as E.B. Fun hike, but not fun hitchhikers.
Later that night we enjoyed a fire and roasted marshmallows down on the beach. It was nice to enjoy the sea breeze and cool sand.
