We were able to spend the day playing in the snow, as there was some leftover from the day before we arrived. E.B. pulled the kids around on a sled in the front yard. There was only one minor incident where Mae and Benton almost slid under a car! Mae bonked her head, but escaped unscathed. The kids all loved making snow angels and while we tried to make a snowman, we were unsuccessful. Later, we decorated and frosted sugar cookies-delicious! Brig, Mom and I ended up decorated most of them. Benton, Emmie and Mae finished one or two, but spent the remainder of their time eating the ones they had decorated. We had a delcious and special dinner. We each opened a small gift where we had written what we love about each other on small pieces of paper. It was a very sweet experience. Benton thought it was great to see the things people loved about him. Mae, after we read hers to her, carried her small box around and pretended to read them to herself for the remainder of the day! We opened our traditional Christmas pjs that night, although this year they were extra special hand-made matching pjs! My mom did most of the work. They were adorable! The girls felt especially beautiful and ran around twirling like crazy. We were able to read the Christmas story together and think of our Savior. It was truly a joy to be with our family and to remember Christ's birth. Then off to bed for those visions of sugar plums!
