Yellowstone

We started off our first day in the park by saying goodbye to some new friends. This is Mae's 2nd cousin Claire. She had so much fun playing with her big girl cousins.

We loved seeing the falls. This was a little turnout drive on our way towards Old Faithful.

Natural Geyser's in Geyser Basin. It smelled like rotten eggs from the sulfur. They were beautiful colors and kept us warm though!

This was a large Geyser Basin that was beautiful...it had a long boardwalk surrounding it to walk on and view it from all around. You could literally step off into parts of it, yikes! Thankfully the kids stayed on the path. I sense a talk in there somewhere.

Old Faithful was definitely the highlight of the day. We were lucky to get there shortly before it erupted so we didn't have long to wait. It erupts every 3 ish hours. We had a picnic while we waited. The kids played on fallen trees and built a few forts. Old Faithful was amazing! I was waiting for Petey the P-Dog to shoot out the top though.

Emerson tried some of my Mango Sorbet and while at first he thought it a tad odd, he soon was begging for more, and more.

We saw some Elk through the trees on the way back. The road was backed up from everyone stopping to look so we got a good long view.

After a long day we relaxed in the heated pool and spa. Emerson was a bit tired so him and I headed back to the room early to relax. Daddy and the kids splashed and played for awhile longer.
