We decided to get the tree up a little early since we would be gone the weekend of Thanksgiving. The kids were excited to start the Christmas celebrations. We pulled out the fake tree this year and the kids helped to fluff the branches and press them into their slots. As we did this we discussed the symbolism of the tree used to celebrate the birth of Christ as well as some of the other symbols of Christmas.
Emerson started the activity half asleep, but soon joined in by trying to eat the ornaments and following us around. The kids enjoyed pulling out their ornaments and remembering our past adventures together. They would get more excited with each new discovery.
Benton's favorite ornament at this time is his glass spaceship.
My belly is still swollen from surgery, but I feel pretty good! Glad to be home with all of my babies.
