Mae's a doll. Today I was honored by one of my former 4th grade students. She is graduating in the top 24 8th grade students of the three middle schools in Casa Grande. As a tradition, each student chooses the teacher who has influenced them the most and honors them with the "Every Scholar Has a Teacher" Award. Alysia chose me! What an honor it was to hear her give her speech on why she chose my and then present me with a medal for the award. It was such a sweet experience. Adam, my mom, and mother-in-law were all there to witness the event. I am so grateful for a supportive family and the honor of being a teacher!
