Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium
That's where we spent the day. It was awesome! The habitats are very small, which means we were able to see every animal that was supposed to be there...none were "napping, or hiding, etc" The kids had a blast! Benton loved Marty, Melman, and Alex the best. He would rush to another animal, look for a second and then rush us on to the next. He especially loved the petting zoo. He pet and fed some small deer. Emmie was a little nervous but giggled her head off when a small fawn licked her hand. But then she wouldn't do it again! They all loved the train ride, it took you through Jurassic Park type gates that led you to a "safari". There were stork, gazelles, and other large animals RIGHT by the train. They warned passengers to keep their hands in to avoid being bitten. It was pretty impressive. I loved seeing the penguins as that is not always something you see at a zoo...in Arizona. There was even a white tiger, an elderly lion, and all sorts of small mammals like bats, porcupines, gophers, etc. The aquarium was pretty cool as well, there was a huge shark tank that we ate lunch right next to. They had all kinds of tanks with various fish, petting tanks (the kids were too scared for this) and of course the crowd favorite...Nemo and Dory. Mae enjoyed the view from the stroller and just too it all in with her feet sticking out the top. She only lost one binky, which she threw overboard, and was very interested in the zoo for the most part. It was a little pricey, but thanks to my coupon we saved some money and had a fabulous time!
